TE Connectivity is aiming at servo motor manufacturers with a range of connectors for different types of electric motors.
TE compact servo motor connectorThe micro motor connectors include two small rectangular plastic connectors, as well as a nine-position encoder connector and a 4+2 power and brake connector, especially suitable for harsh industrial environments. “Combining power and brake into one connector enables a smaller footprint in conjunction with IP67 protection,” claimed Zhou.
For an idea of size, the footprint of the encoder connector is around 25 x 31mm including cable clamp.
Ratings for the power and brake connector are 125°C and 380V, and they are certified to TUV and UL standards.
