Vodafone revenues slip

Vodafone reported a 3.3% drop in calendar Q2 – the result of selling its Dutch business and the weaker pound.
A 4.8% drop in Europe offset a 1.2% increase in EMEA.
The Dutch sale was done to get regulatory approval for the merger with Liberty Global’s Netherlands cable company, Ziggo.
In calendar Q1, Vodafone combined its India operation with the Indian operator Idea Cellular following a local price war.
Calendar Q2 revenue was €11.4bn, compared to €11.8bn in calendar Q2 2016.
