Charger for 10 cell 36V Li-ion and LiFeP04 batteries

Powersolve has added a charger to its range, designed specifically for 36V, 10 cell lithium-ion battery packs.
PFY105-42-2 operates from a wide (90-264Vac) input with a 2.5A output at 42V (±500mV).
“At 105W, the charger will effortlessly charge Li-ion battery packs as well as the LiFeP04 variants that are popular today,” said the firm.
The unit is CE certified for EMC and LVD, and for EMC the unit meets: FCC Part 15B (Class B), AS/NZS CISPR 22 (Class B) and EN5022 (Class B).
Protection includes over-load and short-circuit, and there is a fused input.
At no load, power consumption is 210mW, and operating efficiency is not less than 85%.
Line and load regulation ±2% and ±5% max respectively.
It comes in a 153 x 60 x 36.5mm) case, and outputs though an industry standard 4 pin XLR connector.
Applications foreseen include charging e-bikes.
“Given some of the potential applications, users will be interested to know it can be dropped from a height of 90cm on to a dry wood surface and will not break and will pass a 10MΩ insulation test,” said Powersolve.
